"Ramesh Gound is a young designer studying at the national institute of design in india,
who developed a concept vehicle in collaboration with renault design india.
termed the 'plug-in', gound's concept explores the future of mobility and is specifically targeted
towards youth aged 18 to 23 years old.
drawing on the idea of this 'two for one' mentality, the 'plug-in' allows two drive-by-wire bikes
to electromagnetically attach to one another, and tilt horizontally, offering the experience of a
sports car (something that many youth only dream of having). it is meant to spark this notion of
'affordability in sharing', giving one the option to travel solo or 'together'.
the project was part of gound's final year diploma project. it aims to become a mobility
solution within congested cities like mumbai."
